New and interesting rumors

So for everyone that is pissed off at the promoter, there's always someone to defend him, and come up with new rumors regarding the complete and total failure that was the 2008 Armadillo Supermoto in downtown Austin.  The rumors of the neighborhood association causing the initial problem seem to be the common thread.

I'd heard rumors that Driveway Austin had been attained and approved by all the people that matter, and that they had come up with a way to turn the car-style track with long straights and a few turn-arounds into an AMA-approved supermoto course with a dirt section.  And the rumor is that XTRM just said "nevermind", and cancelled the entire thing.

How much of that is true, there's no telling, but it sounds like the sport may be on its last legs in the states, and I'm guessing that this might be the very last thing to kill it off.  It sounds like the organizers want out of the whole thing, and may not have the interest to maintain it for the next years.
